Chair's appeal

Dear Members, Sponsors and Supporters,

Each and every day AFCA confronts challenges impacting on contractors at national and state levels. We all know that the last couple of years have been difficult all round, and in particular responding to the Victorian Government’s closure of state forests to timber harvesting has stretched our resources thin.

Unfortunately, the task of supporting members at various meetings with Government & providing additional legal advice, is beyond our budget planning.  So, we need your help to keep doing this vital work on your behalf, at a time when political engagement has never been more important right around the country. Every contribution really does count.

I would like to ask you to consider making an additional contribution to your Association. Many of our Victorian members have already provided additional support at the value of $1000 per business. AFCA continues to push for actual compensation and alternative work to support them and their families in their hour of need. We are encouraging other members and supporters to also help.

As you know, AFCA has a voluntary Board with Directors who are committing their time and skills to oversee the Association. Every year we carefully manage our affairs to keep fees low to ensure that membership remains an affordable and attractive option. The Board, supported by a small staff, aims to deliver real value for members in ways that mean you can focus on running profitable, sustainable businesses. For this reason, there is very little budget for this type of unpredictable battle, and hence why I am making this appeal to those who can help.

To pledge your support simply complete this form and hit Proceed.

My sincere thanks for a positive consideration of this request,

Adan Taylor, Board Chair
